UMNO and ARAK!

Jangan cabar, waktu Wedding Anniversary, pemimpin pemuda Umno dihidangkan botol arak, jangan cabar kita,” kata Saifudin.

Ketika ini, beberapa pemimpin Umno merah padam walaupun Saifudin sekadar menyebut perkara itu secara umum sehingga Timbalan Yang Di Pertua (TYDP) Dewan Rakyat menegur sikap pemimpin Umno itu.

TYDP : Sudah lah Pasir salak, Pasir Salak duduk dahulu, Rembau, Rembau duduk dahulu, saya pun mahu dengar apa yang Machang nak cakap.

Saifudin yang dibenarkan berucap menyambung;

Mahfuz : Tu dia, baru kami tahu. Allah Akhbar, apa pasal teruk sangat ni.
Saifudin menyambung;

“Sebab itu, jangan sampai kita sebut di mana, Hai kenapa marah (Khairy dan Tajuddin), kenapa marah, sebab apa marah, bersungguh marak kenapa, duduklah.
YDP saya bagi fakta ini, Bagan Datoh tak marah, Batu Pahat tak marah, Pontian tak marah. Rembau terpaku, Pasir Salak yang lebih, kenapa, kenapa, kenapa?
Sebab itu, jangan… jangan sebut,” katanya.

Ketika ini Pasir Salak yang sejak tadi diam, tiba-tiba menyinga dan menyalak dan dilihat cuba keluar dari kerusinya sebelum MP Machang berkata;

“Kalau nak suruh saya ulang diluar dewan, saya ulang, namanya siapa, tarikhnya bila, berapa banyak botol arak dia togok.” kata Saifudin.

Kita tahu.

Jangan tanya saya pemimpin Umno mana. Nak sebut apa?

Pengerusi, cukup, untuk pusingan pertama kali ini. Adakah MP Permatang Pauh bersetuju tentang perkara ini, sekian untuk pusingan pertama,” jelas Saifudin.

Ricky Martin: ‘I Am a Fortunate Homosexual Man’

Ricky Martin and Carlos Gonzalez Abella
Ricky Martin didn't come out as a gay man until May 2010, but when he did, he did it in a big way, releasing a statement on his website: "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man," he wrote. "I am very blessed to be who I am." The "Vida Loca" singer is father to twin boys with partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella, a stock broker.

After years of sidestepping questions about his sexual orientation, singer Ricky Martin reveals in a heartfelt posting online that he is gay.

"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man," Martin, 38, said Monday on RickyMartinMusic.com. "I am very blessed to be who I am."

He said his twin sons, who turn 2 in August, inspired him to be true to himself.

"To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with," Martin writes. "These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed."

Martin has said fatherhood changed his life for the better. "I'm so happy!" he told PEOPLE in December 2008 after his sons were born. "Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing. Being a father feels amazing. This has been the most spiritual moment in my life."

After Martin's announcement Monday, the Gay, Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation issued a statement in support of the singer.

"When someone like Ricky Martin comes out, hundreds of millions of people now have a cultural connection with an artist, a celebrity and, perhaps most importantly, a father who happens to be gay," said Jarrett Barrios, President of GLAAD. "His decision to model this kind of openness and honesty can lead to greater acceptance for countless gay people in U.S., in Latin America and worldwide."

A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And thisis something worth celebrating.

For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that's the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It's my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don't ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I'm at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I'm feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.

Many people told me: "Ricky it's not important", "it's not worth it", "all the years you've worked and everything you've built will collapse", "many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature". Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.

If someone asked me today, "Ricky, what are you afraid of?" I would answer "the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war...child slavery, terrorism...the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith." But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.

These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed.

What will happen from now on? It doesn't matter. I can only focus on what's happening to me in this moment. The word "happiness" takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.

I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.

Free iPad beta-test offer is a SCAM

This email came to me through a church discussion board so I don't have any headers. It's a nice looking website that requests email account and password info to sign up for their "program". I search the net and it seem to be very famous on Facebook & Tweeter…

Hello ,
Your contact "\\*************\\" invited you to join our TestitandKeepit program.

At this time we are actively searching for people who will be willing to test the new Apple iPad. The testing period will take only two months, after which you may keep it as compensation.

To see more details and register to our program, follow the link below:

Thanks,

The TestitandKeepit Team

How can you tell that a yet unreleased product is bound to become a hit? By checking out how it fares in online scam and phishing schemes, of course. Even though Apple’s iPad won’t ship untillater this month, cyber criminals waste no time and are already aiming hard-to-resist schemes at naive users who have had their eye on the iPad since the January introduction.

Facebook / Tweeter

The ruse is a simple one: The promise of becoming an iPad “beta-tester” and getting your hands on the device before everyone else does and free of charge, too. Such scams have been spreading on Facebook, Twitter and email lately, duping unsuspecting users with what looks like a legitimate offer to beta test Apple’s couch computing gizmo.

The problem isn’t that you’re supposed to become a fan of an offending Facebook page and enroll your friends, it’s a pop-up window that asks you to “register” as an iPad beta-tester by providing sensitive information like cellphone number. Don’t do it unless you want to be signed-up for a premium-rate cellphone service that will set you back around $10 a week. In addition, you’ll need to manually opt-out of it once you’ve figured out the extra charge.

Sometimes things can be too good to be true. For instance, you may be desperate to get your paws on the latest desirable gadget - the Apple iPad.

Scammers have created pages on Facebook claiming that you can be the lucky recipient of an Apple iPad if you simply register to be a beta-tester. Not only will they supply you with an iPad for free, but they'll also let you keep the iPad at the end of the beta-test. What could go wrong with that?

Hmm, well, as the following YouTube video explains, this is a scam which is using the lure of a free Apple iPad as bait for you to hand over your cellphone details:

The scam works like this:

The bad guys create a Facebook page, with a suitably alluring offer (in this case "iPad Researchers Wanted - Want to beta test Apple's latest product?"). This encourages you to "Become a fan" of the page (which, in itself, helps advertise it to your other friends on Facebook)

They then encourage you to invite all your friends to also become fans of the page, via a handy button. They say that this will increase your chances of being accepted for the bogus promotion. Of course, in reality, it increases the number of people who might be taken to the cleaners by the scammers.

Inviting friends could get them scammed

Finally, Step 3 says you are ready to "Apply". However, although you are taken to a page which is designed to look like an official form on the Apple website, it is quickly overlaid by a pop-up survey.

In the example above I was asked to take a survey to prove I was a "human". After answering questions which supposedly would determine if I was more like 50 Cent than Kanye West, I was asked to fill in my contact information - including date of birth and mobile phone number - before I could continue to register for my free iPad.

Test - are you Kanye West or 50 Cent?

And that's where the scam happens. The hackers who created this page are trying to sign you up for a premium rate cellphone service, that will charge you something like $10 a week until you unsubscribe.

You're probably not interested in which rap star you are more like, but you are interested in getting an Apple iPad, and so you might be tempted to enter your personal information.

Of course, this isn't an official beta-test at all, and Apple aren't going to send you an iPad for free. You will need to queue up like everyone else when they are released, and buy one like the rest of us (provided you have pockets big enough).

The good news is that after I alerted Facebook's security team about this page they disabled it very promptly. However, the bad news is that there are many other similar Facebook pages being created on the social network designed to scam unsuspecting users.

Not all of them pretend to offer an iPad, so be on your guard for other scams too. The most important thing to remember is to not invite your friends to any Facebook page or application until you have thoroughly researched what it's about. Furthermore, you should never be tempted to hand over your mobile phone number to some daft internet quiz.

Sadly, judging by the number of people who already said they were "fans" of the iPad offer, thousands have already fallen for the scam.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, scams like this aren't just run on Facebook. For instance, a quick search on Twitter found messages like this:

Twitter message about free iPads

If you made the mistake of clicking on the link you would be taken to a webpage like the one shown below, claiming again to offer a free Apple iPad:

Malaysia's taxi drivers worse than 'dirty toilets'

KUALA LUMPUR - A TOP minister slammed Malaysia's taxi drivers on Wednesday, saying they were more of a problem for the tourism industry than the nation's notoriously filthy toilets.

'The complaints by tourists about the taxi drivers' behaviour are more than toilets now, so in that context the taxi drivers are worse than dirty toilets,' cabinet minister Nazri Aziz said.

'People are complaining about the taxi drivers overcharging, being impolite and not using their meters, forcing the tourists to bargain with them,' he told AFP. 'This is the third-world taxi driver mentality. Even in China now, taxi drivers can no longer (haggle), they just have to take the passengers, no questions asked.
'It's not that all taxi drivers behave like that, it's just a small group of them but that is already giving Malaysia a bad name,' said Nazri, who is minister in the prime minister's department.

Complaints about taxis are common the world over, but it has become a hot topic in Malaysia where frustrations are vented on blog sites and in letters to newspapers.

In a survey by the local magazine The Expat last year, some 200 foreigners from 30 countries rated Malaysia the worst among 23 countries in terms of taxi quality, courtesy, availability and expertise. – AFP
